Keyneton Wind Farm Project

Pacific Hydro is proposing to develop a wind farm at Keyneton in South Australia. The site is located 6km west of Sedan and 10km south east of Angaston and runs approximately 15km north to south.

The proposal will consist of 42 turbines with installed capacity of 100MW and will be able to provide enough electricity to power the equivalent of around 54,000 homes per year and abate 386,300 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year.

Local benefits will flow from the project including job opportunities during construction, increased council revenue through rates from the project, funding of local programs through Pacific Hydro’s Sustainable Communities Fund (which runs for the operating life of the project) as well as environmental programs and support of local activities.
