2018 Science and Innovation Awards

Applications are now open for the 2018 Science and Innovation Awards for young people in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

If you are aged between 18 and 35 years, or you know someone who is, this is your chance to apply for a grant of up to $22,000 to fund your project on an innovative and emerging scientific issue that will benefit Australia's primary industries.

HeyWire - Tell your story.. change your world

The ABC's Heywire Competition, is a huge opportunity for young regional Australians to make a real difference in their communities.

The 2017 Heywire Competition has been launched, and is calling for young Australians aged between 16 and 22 who live in rural and regional areas to submit their stories about life in their neck of the woods.

40 winners will be chosen to have their story featured on ABC radio, TV and online. They will receive an all expenses paid trip to the Heywire Regional Youth Summit in Canberra in February 2018, where they will work on ideas to make regional Australia a better place for young people.

Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship for Young Farmers 2017

The Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship aims to provide young farmers in South Australia with the opportunity to improve personal and professional skills that will benefit the industry, the individual in their own business or employment and the sustainability of natural resources that underpin primary production.
