Business SA’s Export Ready Program is the most comprehensive series of export workshops ever presented in Adelaide. The seven workshops, delivered over seven months, will be packed with practical information and tools designed to ensure that you are fully prepared for the exciting world of export.

The Export Ready Program has been developed especially for SA businesses who are new to export or have attempted export marketing in the past, with less than satisfactory results.

At the end of the program, you will be able to apply a strategic approach, armed with plans, tools and advice that will lessen the risks associated with export, and increase your chances of success.

Workshop One:

Introduction

The first workshop involves a general introduction to the world of export marketing

and the benefits of exporting. There will be a specific focus on export readiness and the use of the Export Ready Diagnostic Tool.

Workshop Two:

Export Foundations – Preparing & Planning for Export

The second workshop places a strong emphasis on treating your export operations

as a business entity in its own right, hence a focus on business and marketing planning. The outcome of this workshop will be a better understanding of the attitudes and planning required for export success.

Workshop Three:

Market Entry Strategies – Market Research & Market Selection

Workshop three deals with the challenge of market selection and how you can use market research to identify and assess opportunities. Your primary take out of this workshop will be the ability to assess market attractiveness and build an effective market entry strategy.

Workshop Four:

Export Costing, Pricing & Risk

Workshop four covers the financial considerations that play a major role in determining whether or not your export business is profitable, including fixed and variable costs, import duties, tariffs and supply chain margins. The result of this workshop will be a clear understanding of how to price for export and manage export risk.

Workshop Five:

Preparing for Export –Export Marketing Plans

Workshop five takes into account all the considerations covered in the previous

workshops to arrive at a strategically driven export marketing plan. You will understand how to build your export marketing strategy and powerful communication tactics.

Workshop Six:

Sales Partner Selection & Management

The day six workshop covers the important topic of sales partner selection and how to build a relationship with them for maximum mutual advantage. You will develop a clear understanding of your export partner options and how to optimise your choices.

Workshop Seven:

Export Logistics –Distribution Channels, Logistics & Documentation

Workshop seven brings the workshop program to a close with a focus on the

unique distribution and logistical challenges to be faced when exporting. As a result of this workshop, you will be better placed to understand and manage the logistics associated with export.
