Career and Business Information Service for Mannum and Tailem Bend

Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland Inc. have developed an initiative designed to provide essential business advisory support and career development services.

An initiative by Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland (RDAMR) Inc and their new Career Development Centre (CDC) in Murray Bridge, will see additional business and career services delivered to businesses and individuals throughout Tailem Bend and Mannum from January 2016.

Designed to provide essential business advisory support and career development services to those in areas outside of Murray Bridge, this service will ensure that those businesses and individuals based in the Tailem Bend and Mannum areas will be able to easily gain access to information and support.

“Business support will include helping business owners in a range of areas such as navigating growth strategies, helping them work on their business, rather than just in their business. Our qualified business advisor can provide assistance to start-ups and existing businesses with plans, annual reviews, finding grants and so much more”, says RDAMR Chief Executive Jo Podoliak.

Career support through the RDA’s Career Development Centre is offered for the recently unemployed or working less than 35 hours, school leavers and for those returning to the workforce.

Areas which can be covered include practising interview techniques, helping with job applications, tailoring resumes and assistance with training pathways and gathering evidence towards Recognition of Prior learning (RLP). Non-Australian residents living within the Murraylands region can participate providing they have an appropriate work visa.

This free service will be offered from offices in the Coorong District Council’s Civic Centre at Tailem Bend and at the Mid Murray Council Offices in Mannum in addition to the regular service provided at the RDAMR and CDC offices in Murray Bridge.

Appointments in Tailem Bend and Mannum are available on Wednesday’s, with Business and Career Development services alternating locations on a weekly basis.

Further information on the service or to book an appointment contact the RDAMR or CDC on (08) 8535 7170 or email info(at)rdamr.com.au
