Industry leaders across the Murraylands and Riverland will come together to discuss difficulties finding and retaining chefs in the region.

A panel of experts in regional hospitality will share their experiences and explore new ways of attracting both people who love to cook good food, and people who love to eat it, to the Murray Mallee.

Topics will include:

  • the advantages of promoting and using local produce in dining venues in the regions
  • what would attract chefs to the Riverland and Murraylands
  • tourism opportunities through quality dining experiences
  • success stories from other regional areas
  • what needs to change and how could it be achieved.

  • Karena Armstrong, Tasting Australia Ambassador and Executive Chef and owner of the Salopian Inn
  • Peter Kent, Executive Chef, Banrock Station and ower of Salt and Pepper Catering
